Where do you attend the Constructive Critique sessions at the Judging Room?
The WPPI JUDGING ROOM by Love Edits takes place at the Graphistudio booth #1601 on the 7-8-9 of March, from 10am to 4pm.
Judges will be on rotation of an hour. Anyone is welcome to join the educational session, either submitting a print, or simply attending.
The Portrait System special session at the Judging Room!
Tuesday 7th 1-2pm
Join us in the Judging Room for a very special session with Cat Ford-Coates and Saray Taylor-Roman, who will co-host with Sarah Edmunds and Dario Righetto.
This judging session will be specifically devoted to portrait photography, analysing in depth how to push this genre to the next level. Whether you are part of The Portrait System community or not, this is a thing not to be missed. Submit your prints today and save your seat!
F.A.Q.
Where is The Judging Room being held, and when?
At the Graphistudio stand #1601 on the trade show floor during WPPI trade show hours.
Session times will be one hour each and judge names will be published in the Love Edits group and the WPPI group a few days before the show. The time spent on each image during each session will vary, but will include useful comments from each judge present during the session.
(Note: the nature of this kind of analysis means that judges might have more to say about one picture than another, however, you may ask the judges a specific question about your print after they have finished commenting, if you wish and time permits).
How can I submit a print?
It’s easy. First thing first, book your slot on this page.
Then, there are three ways to submit your prints.
1- Graphistudio has made a dedicated order form for you so you can
order a classic 16x20 matted print and have it sent straight to WPPI. This is the easiest way, and you just pay the fee of the print, mat and shipping ($ 35 +$ 15 shipping per print, 20x16", Fine Art HD paper). You can take your print home with you and use it in the future. The judging critique is free of charge.
2- You can also use a different print lab, or print yourself (making sure it is in a 16x20 mat and mount), and send to the Graphistudio stand (address and deadline supplied below).
3- You can bring your print with you to Vegas (making sure you book your place following the instructions below) and give it to us yourself at the Graphistudio booth! Contact us direct to arrange this.
What are the due dates?
- If you order your 20x16" print to Graphistudio, you have to send them your files by the 20th of February at the latest.
- If you order your 20x16" print to another lab of choice, make sure they will ship it to the Graphistudio booth by March the 5th.
- If you bring your prints with you to the conference, please deliver them to the Graphistudio booth on the first day of the show.
Whatever your option is, please send your digitals to dario@love-edits.com as well. We will use these files as benchmark to analyse the prints.
How much does it cost?
The educational experience is entirely FREE to everyone who has a show floor pass. You must pay for the cost of printing, matting and shipping to the show floor (not applicable if you are bringing your print personally).
How do I get my print back?
You can take it home with you after the session. We are not able to ship any prints back.
I don’t have a print to submit but I want to watch others being judged, can I?
Of course, that’s the whole point! These are not private critiques. It’s an educational experience for all.
How do I know when my print(s) will be discussed?
The WPPI Judging Room by Love Edits aims to take more than the usual time to dissect, explain and analyse each picture. This might take 10 to 15 minutes each - sometimes more, sometimes less. In order to offer a consistent standard we ask you to join the WPPI Judging Room by Love Edits Facebook group (link), where we can schedule and plan accordingly. We will then publish the program in the group and at the Graphistudio booth for your convenience.
However, we suggest that you come and attend as many sessions as possible, as we are sure you’ll take away something illuminating from every print!
Are the spots limited at the WPPI Judging Room?
Yes! As we aim to provide a detailed analysis, with the possibility for judges to provide useful insight on how to improve your print, we can only accept a limited number of prints. It’s first come, first served, so reserve your place today!
Does this replace the Honours of Excellence program?
No! This is a purely educational initiative brought to you by Love Edits and supported by WPPI, hosted by Graphistudio at their booth.
Take a look at some award winning pictures by our judges.
Be ready to receive an in-depth analysis of your pictures like never before!
Dissect each print and learn what to improve, how to perfect, when to plan your next masterpiece.

HOW THE RETOUCHING CAN REFINE AN IMAGE
The editing can lift your work to the next level, but it can also affect the result, defeating your purpose. A light hand and the right techniques will guarantee the goal.
